THE new Karijini Eco Retreat in the Pilbara region of Western Australia has comfortable eco tents in a rugged outback setting along with campsites and bush barbecue kitchens for self catering. Flight Centre Hotels has a rate for an Eco Deluxe tent, starting from $243 a night (the same as the internet booking rate). The rack rate is $270. The tents have king-size beds and ensuites. The retreat is in the Savannah Campground in the Karijini National Park, about 80 kilometres from the mining town of Tom Price. ORIENT Express Holidays has a five-night Bangkok Confidential package, staying in one of five contemporary boutique hotels in the heart of Bangkok. EUROPEAN Spa Tours still has places left on its spa tour, departing on June 4. Priced at $7722 for 26 days, the tour includes flights to Vienna with Emirates, 14 days at a 200-year-old European health spa, sightseeing, a cruise on the Danube, concerts, shopping trips and activities such as golf, tennis, gypsy music, dancing and excursions to see the countryside, castles and the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. The highlight will be a stay at the Piestany Spa in Slovakia, renowned for its thermal mineral springs. Massages, mudpacks, and facials, as well as three meals a day at the spa are included.
